Dr Christopher Gilbert

Dr Chris Gilbert completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the Australian National University. He started his career as a junior medical officer at Ballarat Base Hospital before joining the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as an Aviation Medical Officer. During his time in the RAAF, Chris completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), qualified as a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) and specialised in general practice (FRACGP). He also gained extensive experience in occupational medicine and disaster management.

Chris enjoys all aspects of family medicine but has particular interests in children’s health, musculoskeletal and travel medicine. As he is a registered Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME), Chris can can complete CASA medicals. Chris is the father of two young boys and enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family.
