Dr Iain Anderson graduated from Graduate Medicine at the University of Queensland in 2001 after studying at Arts and Science at ANU .  He worked for the Office of Rural Health in Queensland from the end of 2001 to 2008 in Caboolture, Gladstone, Mossman and Roma.  He returned to Canberra in 2008 to work in general practice, emergency medicine, and as a surgical assistant. 

He has interests in sports, travel, sexual health and contraception, minor surgery as well as other areas of general practice.  He is accredited to provide Mental Health Care Plans and provides Iron infusions, IUD insertions, contraceptive rods, dive medicals for recreational scuba divers and yellow fever vaccinations.

Dr Iain Anderson works most Mondays and Fridays as well as some Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (when not in the operating theatre).
